The Penguin Chiller is capable of maintaining temperatures in the low 40°F range, and even dipping into the high 30°F range under the right conditions. It's important to note that the key factors affecting the heat load on your cold therapy tub are ambient temperatures and sun exposure, far outweighing the impact of your body heat. By reducing this external heat load, the chiller optimizes its performance. You can expect low to mid-40°F temperatures on most setups of approximately 100 gallons, even in full sun or less-than-ideal conditions. Our cold therapy chillers are versatile and suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, with the exception of freezing conditions.

What's included with the Penguin cold therapy chiller?

• 3/4HP Cold Therapy Chiller with a built-in pump – designed for outdoor use
• Two quick connect fittings with 3/4" barbs for seamless connection to 3/4" ID tubing (tubing sold separately)
• Inline Screen – a coarse filter to capture hair and large debris before reaching the chiller
• When purchasing the Penguin chiller in a bundle with another product (eg. Ice Barrel 300 bundle), the install kit is included

Optional Install Kit Includes:

Upgrade your setup with our optional install kit, featuring:

• Attached filter canister with a 150-micron washable/reusable filter and 3/4" barbed connections
• Two 6-foot lengths of 3/4" ID Black vinyl tubing
• Two bulkheads (requires a 1" hole through the wall of your tank)
• Eight hose clamps

Please note that your setup must gravity prime to the pump, as the pump is not self-priming. Place the chiller within 3 feet of the drain of your tub, ensuring that the chiller's bottom is at the same or lower height compared to the bottom of your tub—avoid elevating the chiller above the tub. Excessively long tubing runs from the tub drain to the chiller inlet may cause the pump to fail to move enough water.
